Description
RLS LP 599.The leatherette binder is in good condition, some discolouration spots starting to form.
The 5 albums are in very good condition, with some slight surface marks or dust etching which may be audible in softer passages.
These albums have all been played more than once but are still in a very good playable condition. Hard to find in this condition.
This is a limited edition volume 1 under the "his master's voice" label which has a sticker on each record stating that it was made in Gt Britain.
Release Date approx 1953
Binder also has a “discography” listing his band members & each of the 59 recordings in the album.
The original albums were cut from 1939 through 1942.
As for the selections themselves, they include performances recorded by RCA Victor as well as
a representative sampling of the broadcasts Miller did for Chesterfield Cigarettes.
One thing to listen out for : the man who makes announcements from time to time in this album
is Glenn Miller, speaking to all of us across the years.
