Description

An extremely rare ASD - the rarest? - from the EMI / HMV catalogue.  A gem for the real collector!

 Bach and Mozart violin concertos played by Gioconda de Vito in true stereo.  We understand that  this was the only stereo recording she ever released.

Side One:     J.S. Bach  Violin Concerto in E Major, B W V. 1042. 

The London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rafael Kubelik.  Harpsichord continuo: Basil Lam

Side Two:     Mozart Violin Concerto No 3 in G, K.216

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rafael Kubelik

Label: His Master's Voice ASD 429.  White / Gold Label

The vinyl of this extremely rare - and much in demand - UK stereo LP is in excellent to near mint condition.  It appears to have had very few plays.  We found only a very light superficial scratch mark on Side Two; this is at the centre and does not appear to impinge on the recording.  The record comes in its original inner sleeve which is creased at all four corners.  The label on Side Two bears the remains of a small sticker which slightly obscures the HMV dog.  The cover has slight wear to all edges but overall is in very good condition.
