DYNAMITE!
IKE & TINA TURNER
SUE 2004 (US mono LP)
A well-loved but well-pressed (and still solid-sounding) slab of red-hot R&B! Tina, in all her soul-screamin' glory, is front and center, from the eerily airbrushed cover (in which Ike looks like an extra on "The Walking Dead") to the last groove of Side Two!
Hear Tina and the Ikettes lay it on thick with "Sleepless," direct from vinyl to your computer device:
Condition:
JACKET: Like hard country LPs, R&B discs were bought by non-audiophiles-- i.e., people who just wanted to slap the album on the turntable, dance and enjoy! Thus, mint copies of such discs are few and far between! This much-loved copy has a surprisingly decent cover. Surprisingly clean front panel has only faint ringwear--and retains most of its original gloss. Spine intact and sharp. Top seam is cracked at left edge but intact. Bottom seam has a 1.5" split, with all paper intact.
Back panel has visible rubwear. Otherwise, it’s complete and clean. Overall, this sleeve is a decent VG+.
VINYL: Surprisingly solid mono disc. Great pressing has superb hard-edged presence, as you've just heard. Lots of light superficial scuffs and dings to generally decent, pleasing surface. A good cleaning will do this disc a world of help. As is, it's a still-serviceable VG+.
We’ll have several other original IKE & TINA TURNER LPs on the e-block—among a galaxy of top-tier '60s greats! Please peruse our other offerings!
This is just one of a special collection of the rarest, most desirable PHIL SPECTOR and GIRL GROUP LPs you’ll ever see on eBay! They're all from the legendary collection of DAVID A. YOUNG! Grab ‘em before they’re gone—you won’t see their likes again!
