Description
I have been fortunate enough to have been asked to dispose of a superb collection of memorabilia. The original owner, a gentleman from the South of England, sadly recently passed away. Over a period of more than 30 years, he amassed a huge collection of items, most of which have been personally signed. These were obtained mostly by post. At the height of his collecting, he was writing 50 letters a day. He also bought items via auctions and from reputable dealers, including ourselves. All the items I intend to list bear ORIGINAL SIGNATURES - the collector was most particular. There are no pre-prints or modern copies involved. All items are listed at a reasonable starting price and are priced to sell. Please note, I don't end auctions early and don't have a 'Buy It Now' price in mind. The collection includes a HUGE collection of jazz autographs, some of which I will be listing on eBay over the next few weeks. If you are looking for any specific signatures, please feel free to get in touch.
You are bidding on an original approx 10" x 8" b/w posed magazine photo, which appears to have been cut from a National Jazz Federation programme (featuring Earl Hines and Jack Teagarden), which bears the ORIGINAL SIGNATURE in blue ink near top left corner, of the late US jazz trombonist, bandleader, composer & vocalist, JACK TEAGARDEN (1905-1964), otherwise known as 'Big T' and the 'Swingin' Gate'.
In really excellent clean condition for age, with NO creasing. Very tiny nick to left edge (near shoulder). Ideal for framing.
Please note this is AN ORIGINAL signature - not a copy or modern print. You will receive the photo as scanned and shown.
Low start price & NO reserve set - BID NOW to avoid disappointment. A real gem for any jazz aficionado.
If you have any questions, please e-mail me. Genuine bidders only please, payment is required WITHIN 7 days of auction close. I will always COMBINE postage on multiple purchases.
ALL items are very securely packaged, prior to mailing.
Please take a look at my other items I have for sale and take a look at my excellent feedback. Rest assured you are dealing with an established and reliable eBay seller - so please bid with confidence. Best of luck and thanks!
