This is a rare and historic copy of the 1st UK Press on Track records of Electric Ladyland that has been “CENSORED” three times, the first time almost 40 years ago by the shop owner and the second and third time recently by eBay!!!

THIS IS THE VERY FIRST PRESSING WITH THE RARE SCRATCHED OUT MATRIX NUMBERS AND THE ESSENTIAL EARLIER MIX OF THE ALBUM - WHICH IS VERY DIFFERENT TO THE SLIGHTLY LATER TRACK ISSUES!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL WAY HENDRIX WANTED THE ALBUM TO BE MASTERED WITH THE '3D' SOUNDSCAPE IDEA HE ORIGINALLY HAD - THIS WAS EXPENSIVE TO PRODUCE AND THE LABEL RECEIVED RETURNS AS CHEAP STEREO'S AT THE TIME COULDN'T HANDLE THE MASTERING AND THE RECORDS SKIPPED - THIS AND THE COST QUICKLY PERSUADED TRACK TO REMASTER (POORLY IN MY OPINION) AND RELEASE THE MIX WE ALL KNOW THAT IS AVALIABLE STILL TODAY!... THIS HOWEVER IS THE ESSENTIAL WAY TO HEAR THIS ALBUM AND HAS NEVER BEEN REISSUED SINCE 1968 IN ANY FORMAT!!- ONLY THE FIRST FEW HUNDRED COPIES ARE BELIEVED TO HAVE THIS!

ALSO RARE OF THIS 1st PRESS IS THE WAY THAT THE SLEEVE OPENS WITH THE PHOTO OF HENDRIX AT THE RIGHT (later Track pressings had the photo on the left) - AGAIN IT WAS ONLY PRESSED IN SMALL AMOUNTS - OF AROUND A FEW HUNDRED - JUST TO STRESS HOW RARE THIS IS! THE VINYL IS HEAVY AND THICK - QUALITY VINYL!

NOW THE GOOD NEWS, THE SHOP KEEPER DECIDED AT THE TIME THAT THE SLEEVE WAS NOT SUITABLE FOR VIEWING SO DECIDED TO TURN THE INSIDE OUT AND EXHIBIT THE INNER SLEEVE INSTEAD. AS CONSEQUENCE, THE SLEEVE WITH THE LADIES “WITHOUT CLOTHES” HAS BEEN PROTECTED AND KEPT IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH A SPINE THAT IS IN EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION (see photo).

THE INNER SLEEVE OPENS WITH THE PHOTO OF HENDRIX AT THE RIGHT AND THE BAND ON THE LEFT AND THE ONLY BAD NEWS IS THAT THE INNER “SPINE” IS DAMAGED AS IT WAS INSIDE OUT.

THE OVERALL CONDITION OF THE RECORDS IS EXCELLENT AND THE LABELS ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.

DON’T MISS THE CHANCE OF OWNING THIS PIECE OF ROCK HISTORY AND TO LISTEN TO THE ALBUM THE WAY THAT JIMI WANTED.

- Any items depicting bestiality, rape sex, incest, sadism, masochism or sex with graphic violence or degradation

- Any items which suggest the availability of any form of prostitution or sexual relationship, including "virtual" boyfriends or girlfriends.
