Description

Jimi Hendrix Electric Ladyland Dble Lp - VGC.  Sent with Australia Post Standard Service.
DUE TO POSTAGE COSTS, THIS WILL ONLY BE POSTED TO VICTORIA, STH AUST, TASMANIA OR NSW. I offer free postage, and it's too expensive to send further afield. Packaged weight will be above 500gm. So, please don't buy it if it has to be sent elsewhere.
The records were pressed in NZ, and the cover printed in Australia. I have seen this advertised elsewhere as 'an original' NZ pressing. Maybe so, but the inner sleeves advertise other records, one of which is Friends of Mr Cairo, Jon & Vangelis, which came out in 1981. So, if it's an original NZ pressing, perhaps they were a bit slow in getting around to press this album, which was originally recorded in the late 1960's.
Whatever, I have had this in my collection for over 30 years, and it has always been housed in an outer protective plastic cover. I believe that Jimi did not like this version of the record cover, but I guess we can't ask him.
I have listened to all four sides with headphones on to assess condition for this ad. I noticed two relatively unobtrusive clicks on track 2 side 2, and one click close the end of side 4, and otherwise could not hear any defects. (Although my hearing isn't what it was 50 years ago - too much loud Led Zeppelin, so can't guarantee that more acute hearing and an intense focus might not discover other minor flaws in play)
Visually, there are a few surface scratches here or there, but quite few really. In my opinion, a very fair Goldmine rating would be VG+, but I don't want to hauled over the coals if a buyer disagrees. The cover has a small amount of ring wear and a few other minor flaws, but I would also rate it VG+. If in any doubt, ask questions. (Although I'm not sure what else I could add).
Records are packed in a double layer of rigid cardboard, with the vinyl outside of the cover to minimise the risks of compression damage. The totality is placed inside the plastic dust jacket that I have always housed the records in, prior to placing it in the cardboard. The package is marked fragile. It's a strong package, and I have not had any negative responses to this method, one that was recommended by a Youtube video.
