Description

This is Prestige Records PR 7280, John Coltrane Dakar, a yellow, Bergenfield NJ label original mono issue of this classic record with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. The record looks in VG condition showing needle marks on both sides but playing quietly with only occasional light background noise below the music and no skips or distortion (hence the extra (+). The  cover has label loss on the front and clear tape on the top seam but is otherwise intact. The labels are excellent with light spindle marks. The record was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode and cleaned on a VPI 17. This is an excellent initial "play" grade copy of this wonderful original issue.
