Description

An original 1st issue of HOTH on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A2/B3. Etching 'RL Sterling'. Please note label design is precisely in line with 1st issue. There's no WB logo in the perimeter text and none of said text continues into the upper hemisphere of the label - as it does on reissues. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original matt gatefold cover. Also included is the original textured inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has clearly only seen very very light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troubleosme. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. This really is one stunning copy of HOTH - I can assure you very few copies reach this level of preservation. The audio is as pure as you could possibly hope for - and those all important low-key tracks like NO-QTR & Rain play super-clean. Interference is practically non-existent. All we could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments - literally. And that really is no mean feat! FINAL UPGRADE. The best I've ever witnessed...
Cover (Ex-) Has been well cared for down the years and looks to be in great condition. Nice clean front without the usual significant surface wear - just one very faint sticker removal mark in the top-right. Ditto the rear - very little surface wear and just a couple of creases. The interior is very nice with no issues. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine is pretty decent all round condition. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Not up to the standard of the rest of this listing - but original and it does complete the ensemble There's a good bit of foxing and it's a bit musty looking. No splits though or writing.
