Description

An original 1st issue of HOTH on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A2/B3. Etching 'RL Sterling'. Please note the labels make no reference to the WB logo and the perimeter text does not continue into the upper hemisphere - this is indicative of 1st issue. And also note there is an earlier matrix cut, but this 1st issue would have been available for purchase whilst the album was still charting. The vinyl comes housed in an original matt gatefold cover. Also included is the original textured lyric inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Just check out those label shots...they are super low-mileage! Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Lovely clean audio from this Ludwig cut even in those slow-build low-key moments. Interference is almost non-existent. All I could detect were a couple of crackles in the intro to RAIN, and just a couple more in the mid-section of No QTR. But these tracks are THE benchmark for a great HOTH copy - and both play way way better than even decent level copies do. A top level rendition by any standard. 
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In wonderful condition..how many original matt covers end up looking this sweeet...not many I can assure you. Beautifully clean front and rear with vivid colours and barely a hint of wear - very unusual! The interior - is immaculate - no issues at all. Edge wear is very very light and the openings are still sharp. The spine seems perfectly intact. Overall the cover retains superb rigidity. What a specimen!
Inner (Ex) No splits. No markings. Barely any ageing.
