Description

A 1st press of Zep 4 on the UK Red & Plum Atlantic label. Matrix A3/B4. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also include is the original grey lyric inner sleeve - with earliest "4 credits". Please note the lyric sheet makes no reference to a catalogue number and the flipbacks are exposed - all indicative of 1st issue. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side, and one superficial trail - absolutely nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. By and large a very nice clean player that has clearly not been abused. Even in those quieter acoustic tracks e.g. California & Evermore it's still delivering a nice clean rendition without problem. In the ever popular STAIRWAY there's just the faintest touch of static here and there in opening low-key first section. This is not in anyway distracting and, in reality, very common. Overall a storming rendition of this Zep classic.
Cover (Ex-) Has been looked after and remains in very nice condition. The front looks absolutely spot on with no discolouration, wear, or creasing. The only vague thing I can spot is a tiny patch of residue from a sticker [top left]. The rear looks good too with just one tiny blemish and a tiny amount of wear toward the spine edge in one spot. The interior looks pretty much immaculate. There's very little edge wear an the openings are still sharp. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) The sides have been taped up to secure them. But surfaces are very nice and clean and unworn. With just a small date written on one of the flipbacks.
