Zep 4 original 1st issue from 1971 on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A3/B3. This copy holds the label error/typo 'MISTY MOUNTAIN TOP'. The LP comes housed in its original gatefold cover along with the original textured inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Shiny like new and has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks. A thorough testing from beginning too end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. The audio quality is absolutely staggering - perfect reproduction as you'd hope for from one of these early pressings. Please note, however, one of the marks mentioned above runs across the first half of 'Stairway' and results in a repeating tick through this section. Other than that there is really no interference to speak of at all - I don't think I've ever heard a Zep IV play back to this standard with such a silent background. A blinding good rendition in every sense...
Cover (Ex) This record has clearly been looked after by one fastidious owner. It just doesn't feel like it's been around for 46 years! Very little handling wear at all. Edge wear is absolutely minimal too just a touch on the spine. Please be aware that the owner has signed his name in the interior and also that there is a touch of light fade on the extreme left side of the cover. But other than that this is one very carefully looked after cover. It retains great rigidity and totally belies its age.
