Description

A 2nd pressing from March 1970 on the Red & Plum Atlantic Label. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with the grey stripe along the bottom and pinched spine [indicative of 2nd issue cover]. Also included is the original inner sleeve date coded to March 1970.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In superb shape and clearly has been looked after down the years. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level  of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. The only thing stopping us grading higher is that there is some low-level static just audible here and there [audible in the quiet sections]. This is very low-level, and not remotely invasive, but we need to be absolutely clear you will pick a bit of it up. Actual playback is superb and we cannot recommend highly enough these early plum copies - they are the benchmark for listening to Zep. Please note one of the labels has been signed.
Cover (Ex) Would grade higher, but for the fact that the indentation of the previous owners name is just visible to the right of "Zeppelin" on the front. Other than that we are talking a superbly preserved specimen. Shiny like new with barely any signs of use. Creasing is almost non-existent. The openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. It certainly belies its age...
Inner (Ex) Very little ageing ad no splits.
