Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE: Norman Granz' Jazz at the Philharmonic Vol 9 ARTIST: Various Jazz Artists LABEL: Verve Records MG Vol 9 MONO CONDITION: JACKET - Excellent(Please see actual album photo) VINYL - Excellent(Graded using custom spotlight).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Beautiful Verve MONO vinyl with very light scuffs; jacket has very light wear to corners/edges. Very rare early Granz/Verve MONO recordings, part of the series "Jazz at the Philharmonic". Here is how the notes describe this issue: "In 1956 Granz consolidated his record labels along with Clef he issued albums on Norgran and Down Home into Verve Records and reissued all of the older titles on the new imprint as 12" albums while the first seven volumes kept their old catalog numbers, the three-album sets were now numbered consecutively as JATP, Volume 8 (formerly 15). Volume 9 (formerly 16) Volume 10 (formerly 17) and 11 (formerly 18). three discs; Sides A to F: 3 x 12" disks.

OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
