Description

This is an original, first-issue Vee Jay “Introducing the Beatles” album. As can be seen in the photos, the sleeve and the record itself pass all the “Goldmine” guide authenticity tests (George’s shadow on the wall, title and artist both printed above the hole on the label, etc.). This is unquestionably the real thing. Unfortunately, condition leaves something to be desired. The sleeve photo is still relatively bright and vibrant, but two of the three closed edges have splits, there is no inner sleeve, and the original owner (”Patrice”) wrote her name on both the front and the back – in some kind of thick blue paint or fingernail polish on the back (please examine photos closely). Nevertheless, the sleeve will still display nicely. The disc itself has been well-played. It has the expected moderate pops and crackle, but there are no skips or scratches significant enough to interrupt the music. I understand that this is one of the most counterfeited albums of all time, but I’m very confident that this is the genuine article. Again, it’s far from being a mint copy, but there aren’t many bona-fide originals of this album in any condition floating around out there. Here’s your chance to own one. Note: To prevent further damage to the original sleeve, the disc has been removed and placed in a separate cardboard sleeve for shipping.
