Peter Gabriel 4 (Security) Limited Edition No 008751 Remastered 2LP 2015
This is the final Peter Gabriel double LP from 2015 that I am selling and this release was also limited to 10,000 copies worldwide. Half-speed remastered and cut at 45rpm on two heavyweight vinyls it plays with superb audio across all four sides with barely any background. As always I have listened to every track in full and I have given a 'complete' grading below. The clarity, depth, warmth and power of the audio is incredible and the entire 'package is practically 'as new'.
These limited edition pressings are quite collectable today and it's obvious why! They have a greater depth, warmth, resonance and power compared to the original pressings and they do sound better. If you win you'll know exactly what I mean when you listen to 'Lay Your Hands On Me' - the drums are so powerful!
The heavy duty gatefold is stunning and has retained its original shape and structure perfectly. There is no wear to be honest. The vinyls are housed in generic plain white poly-lined inners which have no side splits or tears. The download card is included but does say 'Offer ends 30 Dec 2016'...

Visual description
The vinyls are in lovely condition and still have a superb glossy sheen with no marks or scratches. Under a bright light I can see the first record looks 'as new' and the second has only a few very faint hairlines and there is nothing that stands out. The labels are in perfect condition with no marking or spindle wear.
Play Grading
The quiet build up intro on 'The Rhythm Of The Heat' plays with 100% clarity and the opening vocal is the same really with only a couple of barely audible statics. From then on it plays so clearly with only a handful of minor statics. 'San Jacinto' also plays with phenomenal quality without so much as a dust tick. The sonic quality on this classic track truly is outstanding. 'I Have The Touch' and 'The Family And The Fishing Net' on S2 also play with stunning quality. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Shock The Monkey' on S3 plays with superb clarity and power from start to finish and 'Lay Your Hands On Me' is so close to perfect with only a couple of very light ticks on the quiet opening section. The intro on 'Wallflower' has some very quiet dull sounds once per revolution (you often hear that with vinyl I find during quiet sections) but it soon dissipates. From then on it plays with stunning precision and no background. 'Kiss Of Life' ends the album with great quality and no intrusion.
The Gatefold
The cover is stunning and I am sure many would say perfect. The edges, wide spine and corners are unmarked and the opening edges have zero handling wear. The front and back cover are pristine - a handful of barely visible specks perhaps but so so faint! The inside is is immaculate and overall this is a superb example of this cover.
Play tested on my Rega P2 with AT VM-95EN Cart / Denon PMA-520AE Amp / B&W 684 Speakers
The records have been professionally cleaned on my Pro-Ject VC-S machine
I grade according to "Record Collector" guidelines.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Many thanks.
All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
