Description

An original 1st issue of Animals on the UK Harvest label from 1977. Matrix 3/5. Stampers 1-LM/1-TO. 1st issues are easily identifiable from the matrix number and the fact that the labels do not exhibit two concentric rings. This is all indicative of 1st issue on EMI's Middlesex presses - the best output! The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover with wide spine. Also included is the original inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) Remains in excellent condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a number of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD+ level of playback. The audio is warm with good definition - just what you'd expect from the experts at EMI. Yes, there's some light interference in places, but it is mostly minor and does not interfere with playback. The only section where it is vaguely invasive is for the first few moments at the start of each side - other than this you will be treated to a very fine rendition of this Floyd classic.
Cover (Vg+) Would grade higher, but for the fact it has taken a hit on the upper spine. Nothing major, but the spine is curved slightly at the top. In all other respects this is a very well preserved copy. Most exhibit a heck of alot of surface wear, but not here. I picked this one up and it was still in it's shrink-wrap. And that has clearly left it looking way better than most other examples. The text on the spine is all still readable. The interior is in superb condition. Overall the cover still retains great rigidity. A lovely original example.
Inner (Ex) No faults at all. Superb condition with no splits.

Any purchase is guaranteed to get to you quickly, safely, and with total satisfaction, or your money back.
