ROBIN TROWER VINYL SECTION

PASSION - The guitar solos are woven in 4 minute vocal song format, mostly. They are bluesy, haunting and beautiful especially on "Night" which is one of those songs you want to play over & over again. This is the r&b end of pop rock. In the planning of Passion I can see Trower's agent/ record company pleading or demanding something commercial to get him back on the charts. Robin Trower's strong suit has always been his melancholic, sweetly lyrical side--with an ability to give it a blistering rock edge. Its here in spades. If Dylan could make Nashville Skyline, why can't Trower do this cool record?

Tracks include:

Caroline - Secret Doors -. If Forever - Won't Even Think About You -. Passion - No Time -Night - Bad Time - One More Word

Robin Trower BRIDGE OF SIGHS COLLECTORS 2014 LIMITED EDITION LP -

Ex-Procol Harum guitarist and Jimi Hendrix disciple, Trower is a maestro of the electric guitar. Bridge Of Sighs was originally released in 1974 on Chrysalis and is Trower's second solo release.

Continuing his productive creative surge, the guitar master rediscovers his rock chops in this new studio package. Ten great new songs, phenomenal guitar playing, and that signature tone that only Robin Trower can cultivate from his Strat. Where You Are Going is more of a rocker than the last one, but still squarely based in Robin's love for Blues. Robin's voice is much more confident on these ten new studio recordings, and the guitar work is stunning. A continuation of Mr. Trower's creative upsurge, Robin is credited with Guitar, Vocals, and Bass with Chris Taggart on Drums, with Livingstone Brown also on bass, co-production and mixing/mastering. Robin created the art piece that was turned into a classy package by Graphic Artist Eric Krause.

Jack Bruce & Robin Trower Seven Moons LIMITED EDITION LP

Seven Moons is an album by Jack Bruce and Robin Trower that sees these prominent members of the seminal British rock and blues scene of the 1960's back together and in fine form.

Robin Trower was the founding guitarist in the band Procol Harum and Jack Bruce needs no introduction as the lead vocalist of Cream who wrote a lot of their material, including one of the world's best-known rock guitar riffs in "Sunshine of Your Love". The duo made two joint recordings in the early 1980s, and have again teamed up on record, this time with British drummer Gary Husband - a member of Gary Moore's band and the pop band Level 42.

What makes Seven Moons such a success is that Bruce and Trower each play to their strengths, Bruce brings his distinctive croon/moan to bluesy, riff-oriented tunes dominated by Trower's playing. They conjure a Power Rock trio sound which touches on Cream and Hendrix yet draws from their own deep, dark wells of experience.

Indeed it has been said that "Seven Moons" finds a space that Cream would have occupied had they recruited Hendrix: ballsy, economical, and confident. Trower, if anything, has toned down his usual space rock style, with some beautifully understated playing. Bruce's bass remains as it has always been, solid and tasteful, shunning the instrumental spotlight, whilst Gary Husband's drumming is also subtle, reflecting his jazz experience.

To sum it up simply, "Seven Moons" is a spot-on recreation of late-'60s blues-rock's halcyon days....Expertly done.

Selections:
1. Seven Moons
2. Lives of Clay
3. Distant Places of The Heart
4. She's Not the One
5. So Far To Yesterday
6. Just Another Day
7. Perfect Place
8. The Last Door
9. Bad Case of Celebrity
10. Come To Me
11. I'm Home

 PROCOL HARUM TITLE -

Procol Harum Procol Harum 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION AUDIOPHILE MONO Import LP

180g Audiophile Vinyl!

Procol Harum was a big contributor to the development of symphonic rock, and by extension, progressive rock.

Procol Harum is the eponymous debut studio album by the English rock band. Originally released in 1967 it now celebrates its 50th year anniversary. Though the album was recorded on multi-track, it was issued as mono-only in the U.K.

All songs were originally credited written to Gary Brooker (music) and Keith Reid (lyrics), except "Repent Walpurgis" written by Matthew Fisher, after works by French organist Charles-Marie Widor and German composer Johann Sebastian Bach.

Procol Harum's lyricist Keith Reid told Songfacts that the music for "Conquistador" was written before the lyrics. He added that this was unusual as "99 out of 100" of the band's songs, back then, "were written the words first, and then were set to music". The track "Salad Days (Are Here Again)" is credited as being from the film Separation.
