Description

An original 1st press on UK Decca from whilst charting. Matrix 2W/1W. Wide-body font on the album title - which you tend to find on the earliest copies. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in a fully laminated cover [front and back]. We also have the original blue and white Decca inner sleeve date coded to 07/70.A couple of months prior to 1st release. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In very nice condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could make out a couple of very light marks per side, and one light trail over the track 'Carol'. I've tested this track and can barely make out anything entering the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Little to quibble at here - it plays clean. Even into those super low-key tracks.. 'Love In Vain' plays clean - which is unusual. Expect nothing more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. I detected a couple of minor ticks during 'Carol' - perhaps caused by the marked mentioned above [but precious little in reality]. Highly Recommended!
Cover (Vg+) Very nice flat and shiny front but with a couple of nicks to the right of the Mule. The rear has largely avoided the ageing process - there's just a crease top right corner. The spine is 99% intact with one stress crease. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very fine looking specimen.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. Small scribble on rear. No splits.
