Description

An original summer 1970 1st press on UK Decca. Matrix 1W/1W - 1st cut. Don't short change yourself with a later copy - get an early one as they were pressed heavier. Note the label design has a couple of hang-overs from the UNBOXED era. Large font catalogue number & Album Title in larger font too. The vinyl comes housed in an original Upton fully laminated [back and front] 1st issue cover. We also have the original blue and white Decca inner sleeve date coded '07-70' - [two months prior to 1st release]. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could make out a few very light marks per side, a couple of very superficial trails - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Little to quibble at here - it' plays clean. Even into those super low-key tracks.. 'Love In Vain' plays clean - which is unusual. Expect nothing more than a few crackles in one isolated moment per side. A couple of isolated minor ticks in 'Live With Me' [absolutely no big deal]. Recommended!
Cover (Vg+) Very nice looking front with a crease to left and a couple at the opening. The rear is relatively uncreased - but does exhibit some ageing [not bad at all though[. Edge wear is light and the spine 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing and no splits. Bag present.
