Description

An original 1st press of GYYYO on the UK Decca label from 1970. Matrix 1W/1W - very 1st cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Upton printed fully laminated [back & front]. Also included is an original blue and white Decca inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use.  Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or sinister.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. A perfect illustration of the STONES live at the height of their powers...perhaps one of their finest moments. Even 'Love In Vain' - the test track...plays nice and clean.I'll do my usual catch-all...you might detect a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. The one deviation is a brief skip during 'Stray Cat Blues'. It's not all that noticeable and I don't think you actually lose any vocal. So, not really a deal breaker.
Cover (Ex) In super condition and looks mighty impressive fully laminated. It also seems to have avoided most of the usual laminate lift - just a touch along that spine edge, and there's a couple of thumbnail creases at the opening. The rear looks great and appears to have avoided the usual ageing process. There's one small crease up in the top right corner and then one minor indentation - but that's all! Edge wear is very very light indeed and the openings are still sharpish. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Very nice indeed!
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits though.
