The greatest singer today's listeners never heard of.  Sandy's was the female voice soaring above Robert Plant's on Zeppelin's "Battle of Evermore."  She wrote "Who Knows Where the Time Goes," a hit for Judy Collins.  At various times she worked solo or as part of the Strawbs and later Fairport Convention and other bands.  Offstage, she hung out with Plant's bandmate John Bonham and the Who's Keith Moon.  Predictably, this did not end well for any of them.  Check her out on iTunes and then listen the way she was meant to be heard, on vinyl:
1.  Sandy Denny and the Strawbs, 1973 - Unplayed original U.K. release of songs recorded by the band in 1968.  It languished for five years as the unknown musicians did not have a record deal.  By the time Britain's Hallmark Records released it, Sandy had recorded and performed live with Zeppelin and joined, left and rejoined Fairport Convention.  Album has lived in the plastic sleeve imports used to come in and everything inside and out is beautiful.
2.  Fairport Convention, A Moveable Feast, 1974 - Unplayed U.S. release of this live album recorded at the Sydney Opera House and other venues.  In its original shrink wrap.  Released by Island Records.  Other than right front corner where distributor clipped it before it was given to the radio station, it is in immaculate condition.
3.  Fairport Convention, Rising for the Moon, 1975 - Unplayed U.S. release by Island Records.  Other than right front corner where distributor clipped it before it was given to the radio station, it is in immaculate condition.  Original dust jacket with lyrics and black Island label.
BONUS:  A much-played copy of Zeppelin's 4th album.  The vinyl is beaten up and so is the jacket so I factored 0 into the price of the set.  It's included because you must hear "Battle of Evermore" if you haven't already which will inspire you to find a clean copy from somebody else's collection.  (What you see in photo #10 is for educational purposes and not included.)
