Here’s a great copy of one of the world’s major psych / prog rarities, as issued in Australia only in October 1970. In case you’re interested, the album’s a vague concept LP about ecology, with ‘Goolutionites’ being the enemies of Planet Earth, and ‘The Real People’ being those who wish to save it. The band express their feelings about their respective merits through the medium of crazed psychedelic rock, with demented leads from 15-year old (!) guitarist Tim Gaze. SLEEVE CONDITION
The fragile, unlaminated, textured gatefold sleeve is in near EX condition – practically unheard of for this LP. There are some brown age spots, and a small ‘NOT FOR SALE’ stamp on the back, but these don’t detract from the artwork. The spine is intact and fully legible (again, almost unheard of for this LP), and the gatefold interior is in lovely condition.
VINYL CONDITION
The glossy, shiny vinyl is in solid VG+ condition, with hairlines and minor marks. Though a lot of Aussie LPs were poorly pressed in the late 60s and early 70s, this one sounds crisp and punchy, with those guitar leads coming through loud and clear. A great copy, and it comes complete with its original flimsy inner bag.
