Description
Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Sgt Pepper 12" 1967 FIRST PRESS stereo original Parlophone pressing LP vinyl' in overall VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition.
VINYL:-
Visual:
- Side 1 - a few hairlines and light scratches but nothing feelable or deep. Rated as VERY GOOD. Label is VERY GOOD+.
- Side 2 - a few more light but non-feelable marks than Side 1. Rated as VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD-. (has some pen marks in the £ sign).
Audio:
- Audio currently rated as VERY GOOD+!! I have play-tested this all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS on my system!! There is some light background crackle in the quieter passages and in between tracks but its not really an issue and the audio is great! A very enjoyable listen indeed! A deep clean could help with the crackle but it isn't a necessity. The audio is very punchy and crisp! There is a LOT of clarity present and the original tonality sounds great! Lies very flat and plays very well!
Original unused cutout card is in VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition! Has some age-related storage wear and corner rubbing but nothing major! 100% intact and still looks great!
The original 1967 stereo gatefold sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. On the inside of the first opening there is the initials 'MO' writing in black marker pen. It's not noticeable unless you physically open the sleeve and the cutout card covers it nicely. Also, it doesn't show through the cover so it's pretty harmless! The front of the sleeve has some laminate creasing and light ringwear. Nothing serious and its relatively clean with a lovely gloss! The rear of the sleeve is pretty much the same as the front - nothing major, just age-related storage wear! The inner gatefold is nice and clean with some light age-related wear to the flipbacks. They are 100% intact and look great! The spine is about 80% readable - please see pictures!! It is also creased and a bit discoloured. Still fully intact however!

As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record. Overall, a classic Beatles record that everyone should own!
