THE JAZZ SCENE: Personally signed by NORMAN GRANZ as #300. This Project was a true labor of love. Norman Granz chose six 12" 78RPM Records to hold 12 sides which were the best of the best: CHARLIE PARKER, WILLIE SMITH, MACHITO, BUD POWELL, DUKE ELLINGTON, NEIL HEFTI, LESTER YOUNG, COLEMAN HAWKINS, RALPH BURNS, and GEORGE HANDY. The Photographs are high quality shots on high quality paper: DUKE ELLINGTON, COLEMAN HAWKINS, RALPH BURNS, CHARLIE PARKER, WILLIE SMITH, MACHITO, MAX ROACH, BUD POWELL, LESTER YOUNG, BILLIE HOLIDAY, and many more. The overal package is in unusally nice shape. The 78RPM Records all look NEW and UNPLAYED! The Photographs are all in almost new condition--no fingerprints--no smudges--no stains. The spacer sheets with the Record Artists listed on them have yellowed (you can see that in the Pictures), but I think that's happened with most copies that are out there. Every other one that I've seen with photos of these pages has looked looked like this. In other words, the Interior is EXCELLENT, about as close to new as you get. This has sat on a collector's shelf unused for 60 years. The outside cover has some light shelfwear. Since it's a soft Black Cloth Material, there is light wear to it, but the cover is still in fine condition. No tears, no snags, no holes--just some light shelfwear. It will be very hard to find a better copy than this one. Shipping will not be cheap, though. It can't be sent Media Rate. In order to protect the 78's, it will have to be shipped in 2 separate boxes. You're looking at around 12-13 Pounds total, or 6 Pounds per Package. USA shipping will have to be via Air Priority. This will cost approximately 40.00. I can only get to the Post Office once or twice a week, so please be patient. I can email you Overseas Postage rates. Overseas Shipping will have to be via EXPRESS MAIL or Air Priority, and in 2 packages, it will run approximately $110-$130 to send these out, depending on which country they ship to. Once again, these quotes are approximate. I can take PAYPAL (and others). The POST OFFICE LOSES PACKAGES, don't blame me if it happens to you. Since I will have to insure it, I will have to declare full sales value; if paying with some way other than Paypal, I can ship it any way you want. Paypal rules make it very difficult and expensive to ship anything out of the country now, since they require on-line Tracking Numbers. You can't get that with simple First Class International shipping. No reserve. Good luck!
