This great record plays up to the high visual grading and beyond . Strong, undistorted sound free of any pops, clicks or distortion. Channels are clean and unstressed. The music jumps out, with definition and clarity, particularly on the percussion instruments, and vocals which come through with tremendous power. 

This really is an unbelievable piece, with NO clicks, NO Hiss or pops or continuous unwanted sounds. This great record plays with what I would call TOP AUDIO audio, with NEAR MINT sound. AMAZING CLEAR SOUND!

This RARE MONO press has strong undistorted audio, with Super clear audio and absolutely minimal background static. There is certainly no dominant  interference, and NO pops or clicks or Distortion. It really sounds great and plays with great sound separation and clarity!

Superb sound, every track has been tested and I could find no obvious sound blemishes. Some light occasional static only, and it is light and very occasional. Wonderful TOP audio, there is NO distortion, NO sticks or jumps what so ever, and virtual silence between the tracks. Great music with great clarity, and so hard to find with this type of sound. The tonal quality make this a sensational pressing. With the clear and extra loud First cut engineering giving the audio a vibrant sound which cannot be beaten.

THE RECORD - Visual Grading - EXCELLENT

A stunning glossy vinyl in amazing condition. Unbelievable to think this vinyl is 46 years old! There are two hairlines on side 2, each about 1 cm long, but they are light and they absolutely do not cause any interference, pops of clicks. Absolutely Beautiful vinyl throughout!

The Rolling Stones is the debut album by The Rolling Stones, released by DECCA in the United Kingdom on 16 April 1964, and sometimes known as Stones No.1.

Recorded at Regent Sound Studios in London over the course of five days in January and February 1964, The Rolling Stones was produced by Andrew Loog Oldham and Eric Easton. The Rolling Stones was originally released by DECCA in the UK, while the US  England newest Hit-makers appeared on the London Labels label, with the track "Not Fade Away" (the a side of the band's third UK single) replacing "Mona (I Need You Baby) 

The majority of the tracks reflect the band's love for authentic R & B material. Mick Jagger  and Keith Richards were still much fledging songwriters during early 1964, contributing only one original composition to the album: "Tell Me". Two numbers are credited to  "Nanker Phelge" - a pseudonym the band used for group compositions from 1963 to 1965. Phil Spector and Gene Pitney   both contributed to the recording sessions, and are referred to as "Uncle Phil and Uncle Gene" in the subtitle of the Nanker Phelge instrumental "Now I've Got a Witness".

THE COVER – VERY GOOD PLUS

Comes with the original  laminated Sleeve, this first issue cover has the flip-backs on the rear and was printed in London by MacNeill Press.  These are extremely rare covers and were quickly replaced with the standard non flip back variety. 

There is no feathering to the opening edge, which is very rare. There are some light laminate creases and indentations (as shown clearly in the images) some discolouration on the rear cover. This really is  a respectable 1st press cover, with some minor wear only. 

THE LABELS - EXCELLENT

Famous RED DECCA labels are in GREAT Condition, no marks or writing, no discernible  spindle wear.  Great all round examples, with a spindle traces only! CLASSIC!

Top quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and is what I always aim for. Even with the cleanest copies you will find occasional static sound during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and I advise a light clean should be given between plays for optimal performance.

MY RECORD GRADING SYSTEM IS AS FOLLOWS - (BASED ON RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE U.K. )

MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.

V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.

FAIR: Fair. It is noticeable that the record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated very noticeably. The cover and contents are showing signs of folding, scuffing of edges etc.
