Description

An original Mono 1st Press of Oldies on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1G/1G. Stampers 2-MM/4-AH. Please note label design is totally consistent with 1st press - all the publishing dates are positioned on the left-side. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original mono Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emi advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) And it's the vinyl that really impresses, here, shiny like new and has seen only minimal use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out more than a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is very minor. We didn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments the whole way through. A stunning little player and one that you'd be hard pushed to improve upon.
Cover (Vg) Marked down because there are a number of light creases on the rear and the bottom-right corner is heavily creased. The front still remains nice and shiny with minimal ageing. The rear exhibits a bit of light ageing, but no markings. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine is still all mostly legible. Even taking the creases into consideration the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits. Very little ageing at all.
