The Beatles Butcher Album Cover only - 3rd State - Stereo
The Beatles’ infamous “Butcher Cover” for Yesterday and Today (1966) showed the band in butcher smocks surrounded by raw meat and dismembered baby dolls. It was quickly withdrawn after public outrage, making surviving stereo copies among the rarest and most valuable Beatles collectibles.
Description of the Cover

The photo, taken by Robert Whitaker, depicts John, Paul, George, and Ringo in white butcher coats.

They are posed with raw meat, animal parts, and doll heads/limbs, creating a surreal and grotesque tableau.

The imagery was intended as avant-garde art, possibly satirizing consumer culture and Capitol Records’ habit of “butchering” Beatles albums by altering track lists.

Stereo versions are especially rare because fewer were pressed before the recall.
