PARLOGRAM AUCTIONS presents...
THE BEATLES - 'LOVE ME DO'/'P.S. I LOVE YOU'
This is one of the final red label pressings of their debut 45 and dates from January 1963 on Parlophone: 45-R 4949
Both labels include the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text.
The 'Lennon-McCartney' credit on the 'Love Me Do' label is off centre and has shifted to the left.
An 'MKT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the 'Love Me Do' label, with 'KMPZT' in both run-outs.
Matrices: 7XCE 17144-1N & 7XCE 17145-1N
Stamper codes: 1/RM & 1/GT
Housed in its original 'beach-striped' Parlophone company sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & blemish-free with a small collection of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces retain an excellent deep-gloss shine with little more than some wispy paper-type hairlines consistent with sleeve removal and play.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Both sides of this well looked-after disc play cleanly & clearly and are free from any significant or major audible issues. Nothing can match this pressing for authenticity and it remains the finest source for both of these historic tracks.
Cover: VERY GOOD
A little tired but free from any writing or major damage.
