Description
For sale is a great condition and excellent sounding copy of the very rare Third U.K. stereo issue of The Beatles debut album Please Please Me.
These early 3rd press stereo copies are very rare as mono greatly outsold stereo in the early 60’s - probably more than 10 to 1.
The original first issue sleeve in all round VG+ condition- one of the best I have seen. Only real and minor issue is small area of rear fold back missing in corner. No writing or tears.
Original Use Emitex inner in excellent condition
Record pressed its ultra early 1P and 1G stampers.
Both labels are a strong VG+ with only minor spindle wear. Identifiable as third press by the Black and Yellow labels but with the extra and unneeded 33 1/3 as a short lived survivor from the black and gold first press labels
Visually side one is VG+ , with just a handful of minor scuffs and short hairlines
Side 2 visually Excellent
Sonically both sides play excellently with some light crackles between tracks but nothing noticeable in the music playback. I heard a couple of static pops only throughout both sides. No clicks, sticks, skips or jumps. Just great vibrant sound.
A great example of a very rare and desirable record.
