Description

An original 1st mono press of Revolver on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/1 - very 1st cut. This particular pressing contains an early alternative mix of 'TNK' - only found on the very 1st copies, and aborted soon after. Stampers 1R/1G - placing this copy amongst the first couple of thousand copies of Revolver ever pressed. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with flipbacks. Also included is the original 'patents applied for' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and  100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In very nice condition and has seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are reasonably quiet and the audio comes across with very good clarity. Interference is relatively minor and infrequent. Most tracks play very nice and clear, including TNK. A few of the fussier tracks each side play with a bit of light static in the background [Here There, and Rigby etc etc]. Nothing off-putting, but it will be audible in places. Overall a very solid performance from Revolver on that collectable TNK alternate mix.
Cover (Vg+) Remains in nice condition with a front that has avoided much of the ageing process. The rear looks clean too with just a bit of ageing apparent on the flipbacks. Edge wear is relatively light and the pine is pretty much all intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Aged, but no splits or markings..
