Description

An original 1st press [Loud-Cut] of Rubber Soul on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover with flipbacks.
Vinyl (Vg+) In great condition despite having seen a moderate level of use. Under close inspection the are many light marks either side, with some light trails too, and a couple of scuffing patches - but nothing heavy or troublesome. So, if you need to see a lovely clean slab of vinyl - sorry this one isn't for you! A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A very decent rendition and one without major issue. The only vague issue I would lodge against it is that 'Michelle' plays with a bit of low-level static in places. Now, do bear in mind that this is VERY common and it is pretty difficult finding any original pressing without this issue. Certainly nothing invasive, but it is just audible all the same. For the remainder of the recording expect a very nice level of playback. Do expect a few crackles in the odd place, and perhaps a couple of low-level ticks. A very decent rendition of this harder to track down loud-cut 1st issue.
Cover (Vg+) Very decent condition - certainly not perfect, but a good all rounder without anything unsightly. Lovely shiny and clean front with just a couple of light indentations and some light thumbnail creases over toward the opening. The rear seems to have avoided the worst of the ageing process - very nice! Edge wear is reasonably light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
