The Beatles: Sgt Pepper “One Box" Stereo LP -1/-1 PCS 7027 + Insert. Play Tested.
PLAY TESTED MARCH 25TH.
This is the 4th pressing (November 1969-70), black label with one black-white EMI logo and silver print.
‘Gramophone’ rim text.
‘Made In GT Britain’ text.
G&L laminated flipback gatefold inside flipback sleeve with stereo PCS 7027 on back side.
With cut-outs insert and black and white EMI inner sleeve.
Matrix Number Side 1:
YEX 637-1
GHH at ‘2’ ‘O Clock’.
Matrix Number Side 2:
YEX 638-1
GHO at ‘9’ ‘O Clock’.
This has been play tested, and the audio quality is minimum VG+, perhaps excellent. Absolutely no skips or jumps, and just very minor and very infrequent static/crackle.
The labels are beautifully clean and bright, with barely visible spindle ware.
G/F laminate sleeve is again VG, graffiti free, with just some minor creasing and a few marks and scuffing (see photos).
The spine is really strong, easily legible, with very little ware.
The ‘cut-out’ inner is excellent, with just a small crease to top left corner.
The black and white EMI ‘Important Notice’ inner is graffiti and rip free, with just some minor creases/marks/ringing (photo on request).
I’d describe the overall grading as VG+.
I do though tend to be quite conservative in my gradings/descriptions, as I know how disappointing it can be when you purchase a record that doesn’t measure up to the grading.
My previous feedback, which is 100% positive, will indicate the honesty and reliability of my gradings.
The item will be despatched by Royal Mail 2nd class signed for, at a cost of £4.45, plus 50p to cover the EBay p&p fees.
