Of course we would all like an original 1st pressing of this album, but a top quality pressing may set you back close to £300. If you're looking to obtain some of this audio magic - why not try a copy from only a little over a year later? Bag yourself amazing audio - for a fraction of the price.....
An original pressing of the White Album from autumn 1970 [roughly 1 year after 1st release] on the Apple label. Matrix 1/1/1/2. The labels are consistent with a 4th press from autumn 1970. The label on record 1 exhibits 'Emi Recording' on one line and the second record has it split across two lines. This is well documented as only being found on the 4th press. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original numbered side-opening Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included are the original white apple inner sleeves and the original lyric sheet - sorry no photos.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. And boy can you hear it - later reissues of this LP are never going to deliver this level of clarity. This Lp might not be a 1st issue, but it is not so far away from the first run and I can assure you the master tapes were in far better condition in 1970 than even ten years later! Interference is minimal nothing more than a touch of static in a couple of places [literally]. So, for an original 1970 this is unusual - particularly given the fact that it is the White Album. 
Cover (Vg+) Might grade higher, but for the fact there is some foxing down in the front right corner. Barring that there's very little to complain about. The cover is surprisingly free of ageing and retains good rigidity. The spine is entirely intact and the interior is immaculate. A very nice specimen.
Lyric sheet (Ex-) Nice condition. No splits. Just a touch of foxing.
Inners (Ex) A touch of light ageing, but no splits.
