Description

An original 1st press on UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1N/1N. The labels are correct for 1st pressing with the JOBETE publishing credit for Money still showing. This copy would have come from the initial batch which was destined for the original pre-orders at 1st day of release. Please note it is also the original version of this, now, very famous cover design. Initial copies went out with the Beatle faces in heavy half shade. The heavy-set vinyl comes in an original 1963 Mono cover by E J Day. We also have the original Emitex inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few very slight marks per side - nothing heavy or nasty looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation per side. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Plays all the hits with clear bold audio. A few slight crackles in 'Till There Was You' - but nothing upfront or unpalatable. I think there's a very brief skip [one] in the opening chords of 'Beethoven'. It's so brief and well hidden it is difficult to make out. But I'm pretty sure it is there all the same. A great example of this original and true 1st.
Cover (Vg/Vg+) Very nice relatively unaged front with just a couple thumbnail and a couple of creases. The rear is in pretty decent condition. It seems to have avoided the worst of the ageing process. But there is the odd spot of grubbiness and odd blemish mixed in with the text - but nothing unsightly really. Flipbacks are secure and intact. Spine is 95% intact. Nice firm openings. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing  Bag present. No splits.
