Description

An original 1969 UK Unboxed pressing of Aftermath - just a couple of years after 1st release. Matrix 5W/5W. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo cover. We also have the correct blue and white stereo Decca poly-lined inner for this release. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side, and a very small one which is semi-feelable in 'Stupid Girl' [detail below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Very nice detailed audio as you would come to expect from 60's Decca. Not all that much to find fault with really. when on song - it sounds fab. Even into the low-key fussy tracks like 'Lady Jane' - very nice clean audio. I detected a bit of light static early in the track "High & Dry", a few ticks in the first half of 'Stupid Girl'. Other than that - very little else of consequence. It's a great little player and a far more economical purchase than the very 1st stereo pressing from 1966. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) In great condition and has survived the passage of time in rather rude health. Lovely clean and flat front cover with minimal creasing. There's a "409" indentation up in the top left corner [difficult to make out]. The rear seems to have avoided much of the usual ageing process - just a touch in the odd spot. Again, there's "409" written up in the top left. And there's a tiny 5mm tear at the top of the opening [repaired and, now, only of minor cosmetic importance]. Edge wear is very light for this title and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) A touch of lightest ageing, but no splits.
