Description

An original 1st press of Aftermath on the UK unboxed Decca label. Matrix 1A/5B. Stampers 1A/1BG. Please note label exhibits the deep groove of pressings prior to 1967. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace cover. Also included is a company Decca from the time. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Aftermath seems to be a very fussy record audiowise it is not all that easy to find copies that truly play clean. Thankfully this copy absolutely aces the audio side of things. Perfectly clean with no background or noticeable imperfections at all. Interference is practically non-existent. We couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Pretty much as a good a rendition as I've ever heard.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and, again, Aftermath is a difficult find in top condition. This example doesn't fair too badly at all. Lovely shiny front with a couple of small indentations - none of the heavy creasing you often find. There is the start of a tear down toward the bottom of the opening, but we've secured it internally with tape. The rear has managed to escape the usual heavy ageing, but there are a few spots over toward the spine. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact.
Inner (Ex) Barely any ageing at all. No splits.
