Description

A 1st pressing from 1971 on the UK Rolling Stones label. Matrix A4/B3. Etching "TML / Rolling Stone Records". Please note, importantly, there is no mention on the labels of "Promotone". These were later copies and this is the bona fide 1st press. The Lp comes housed in a top-loading Warhol designed cover printed by Richard Davis Ltd [1st issue] with a pinched spine. Also included is the original lyric insert and the original white inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-) In nice shape and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection we could make out a few light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is only light and relatively infrequent. We detected a bit of light static in a few of the quieter sections - nothing remotely invasive though. The audio on these 1st presses is amazing - lovely rich sound with super tonality.
Cover (Ex-) Has clearly very carefully cared for down the years. The usual damage has occurred to the belt - no great surprise as it is common, but it is still attached just fine. The zip looks to be stuck - although someone maybe able to free it with some lubrication. Then there's a couple of marks in the top-left on the front, but very little else to complain about really. There are no heavy creases or nasty marks. There's a bit of edge wear and the text on the spine is starting to wear off. But overall a very nice specimen of this genuine and hard to find original classic LP.
Lyric insert (Ex) No foxing or marks. Real nice.
Inner (Ex) Fine - no splits.
