A proper old-school bootleg in every sense: pops, crackles, tape squeal and the occasional wobble that reminds you this was never meant to survive. Yet beneath the analogue battle scars lies a surprisingly crisp and punchy recording, capturing The Stone Roses in their raw, early pomp.
The banter is almost as entertaining as the music. Faced with a Leeds crowd seemingly more interested in taking shots at Manchester than welcoming a Manchester band, Ian Brown dryly fires back, "This is Leeds." It's a perfectly timed quip that sums up the night's good-natured rivalry.
Rough around the edges but packed with atmosphere, this is exactly the kind of bootleg collectors live for—flawed, authentic, and a fascinating snapshot of a band on the brink.
The bass occasionally gets a little too excited on Sally Cinnamon and Adored, giving the speakers a gentle poke in the ribs. It's a fleeting quirk though—and nowhere near enough to stop this unicorn of a gem from earning its place in the stable.
