Description
You are viewing an excellent vintage pressing of the Velvet Underground & Nico's groundbreaking debut LP, often referred to as 'Peel Slowly and See' or the 'Banana Album.'
This is the 3rd pressing (East coast) from 1968 and features the original banana sticker on the front of the gatefold sleeve, designed by Andy Warhol (who also "produced" the album). Retains original VERVE inner sleeve. Features the classic VU songs "Heroin," "I'm Waiting for The Man," "Femme Fatale," "Venus in Furs" and "I'll Be Your Mirror." STEREO.
The distinctive features of this pressing include:
-Text of bottom rim on different level than on previous pressings, which were higher on left and right. -Airbrushed Emerson Torso image on the back cover. -Sides referred to as 1-2 instead of A-B,

Sleeve in VG to EX condition...some scuffs and foxing to surfaces/some edge wear...sticker has a few splits and missing bits...1" split to cardboard on back top edge. Record in VG+ to EX condition...some light scuffs...looks like a good player (though NOT test played).
