William Onyeabor - Body & Soul Wilfilms WRLPS 1007 (1980)

Absolute holy grail alert - one of the most sought after records from Nigeria. This is probably Onyeabor's best record, with the amazing title track, and everything else on the record is also good, and much less corny than on some of his other albums. If you don't know William Onyeabor: most of his records are a unique experiment in merging funk, disco, soul, pop and gospel vocals with heavily synth driven music.
Unfortunately this is also one of Onyeabor's most hard to find records - while you can pick up an original copy of 'Atomic bomb' in your local vinyl store nowadays, 'Body & Soul' never even shows up on Ebay. And this is a fine copy - the vinyl plays very well, the sleeve looks worn but all text is still intact. Listen below!

Grading: Vinyl: VG (vinyl plays well with very mild crackle and light pops at VG to VG+) Sleeve: G (cover looks OK but somewhat worn + more heavily eroded around opening, see pics)
