Hello bidders & viewers of this auction's previous run as eBay number # 4792695308. As you may have surmised, the winning bidder (who used "Buy-It-Now") did not end up following through with the payment. So here's a second chance!!: 

Yea!  Very rare & authentic 1st Pressing 1982 Touch & Go Records issue (7") vinyl Punk 45 from Michigan's Negative Approach !!

This is their self-titled 45 that's often called the "10 Song EP"  (the songs tend to be short).

Nowadays Negative Approach are one of the most respected & lauded of the early U.S. Punk bands. You can hear their influence (as well as their songs covered) by literally scores & scores of modern day ensembles operating in the Punk vein. Singer John Brannon was also in the amazing Laughing Hyenas, and is keeping the torch lit in his under appreciated (albeit excellent) newer combo Easy Action.

I am the ONE & ONLY original owner of this 45. Touch & Go Records founder (& Necros member) Corey Rusk personally sent this to me back in 1982 when there was only a handful of DJ's in the U.S. that you could send a record like this to, and have a reasonable chance of actually getting it on the radio.

The record still has all the original inserts! Even when you see one of these that has managed to survive the last quarter of a century, often the inserts have not.

This is how I would grade the various elements:

Vinyl = VG++.  I did play this on-the-air quite a bit back in "the day", but am also quite careful with my records. There's some very light visual marks, but they just translate to light surface noise (which due to the volume of the music, is only really noticeable before & between the songs). There's NO major damage of any kind (such as skips or warps).

Sleeve = VG++/EX-   There's some slight bending & dinging of the corners, and other slight imperfections that are to be expected in a record of this vintage, but still sturdy & NO ringwear!  There's a interesting note about the cover: On the inside cover it says, "Why are you guys into Oi". It's hand written in green ballpoint, but it's deep enough inside (with consistent lettering) that it had to have been written there before the covers were glued together! In other words: It's impossible for it to have been written that deep inside in such large lettering after the covers were glued shut for the eventual insertion of the records & readied for sale. Not that many people would have had access to these original 45 covers during that process. My guess is that either one of the band members, or Corey himself wrote that (mockingly) during the sleeve making process. I'm not sure if all the pressing has something written there, or just a few!

Inserts = EX+  All the inserts are in excellent, crisp condition and have seen little handling at all!

Amazing, original record. Great content, and a Punk Rock Historical Artifact as well !
