Apple Records / Wall's Ice Cream Promotional E.P. APPLE CT.1
Apple Records 1969 UK Promotional FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO E.P for 'Wall's Ice Cream'. Offered here in wonderful EXCELLENT/MINT- condition. Issued from the 18th July 1969 this was available ONLY through mail order in the UK from a Walls Ice Cream promotional campaign. These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
To claim this E.P you were required to collect a number of promotional wrappers and together with a postal fee send them to Walls. It was never available for sale without using the offer and could not be purchased from a record store or on general order.
The E.P features four Apple recording artists - The Iveys (later changed their name to Badfinger) 'Storm in a Teacup', James Taylor 'Something's Wrong', Jackie Lomax 'Little Yellow Pill' and Mary Hopkin 'Pebble and the Man'. Two of the Beatles, George Harrison and Paul McCartney were producers on this E.P.
Released on the 'Apple Records' label both sides feature the 'Sold in the UK....' text. The 'KJT' tax code is embossed on the side 2 label which is particularly rare and uncommon for a vinyl from the late 1960's. The vinyl comes housed within the original picture sleeve which is in quite remarkable MINT- condition. The sleeve is as close to brand new, perfect condition as you are likely to ever find. The finest example I have ever seen in years of collecting.

Side 1. CT 1A-2 1 R KT
Side 2. CT 1B-2 1 R KT
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition.
Both sides of the vinyl have been play tested with NO faults at all just light crackle in some places.
Both labels are in MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in MINT- condition. STUNNING.
