Description

BEATLES UK – White Album, original Stereo LP – 2 matrix & a KJT code.

1968 PCS 7067/7068 - Apple record labels.

A UK very first issue top loading stereo copy, featuring;

1. a unique individual serial number of: No. 0425275,

2. on record label three there are the letters ‘ K J T ’ embossed around the spindle hole,

3. unusually for a very first issue, the matrix on side four is a ‘2’ and not the usual ‘1’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition.  In fact the best condition sleeve I have seen in a long time. The sleeve is virtually free from any indentations or scuffing.  The near perfect, deep glossy laminate is really excellent. The four corners of the sleeve are excellent, still sharp and unscuffed, the four opening edges of the sleeve are really clean and sharp. The double album gatefold sleeve has on the front an embossed Beatles logo and a unique individual SERIAL Number of: No. 0425275, this number appears clear and bold. To the rear there is a small ‘Stereo’ printed proving this to be a genuine STEREO sleeve. The spine is in very good++ condition and has remained clean and white in colour, there is some of the usual ‘flaky’ laminate, all the text on the spine is clear to read. The sleeve features two visible flipbacks when the sleeve is opened, these flipbacks are all excellent and well stuck down. When the sleeve is opened it is very glossy, clean and tidy and looks just like new. The rear of the sleeve is as clean as the front, in near perfect condition. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue. You would be hard pushed to find a better condition sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVES: are the original ‘Apple’ black inner sleeves and have not been replaced. One sleeve is in very good ++ condition, to the front right bottom there is some creasing and some splitting to the two side edges, there a NO tears. The other sleeve is in near excellent condition with just one side edge having a split, there are NO tears.

THE POSTER: the original poster is in excellent+ condition. Theres NO pen writing, sellotape / residue, pin holes, blue tack residue, stickers or sticker residue. NO tears or splits, an excellent clean fresh white poster. There are just a few small light age related marks on the poster.

THE PHOTOS: the original four photos are in excellent condition. The photos are made from the original thick card. Theres NO pen writing, sellotape / residue, pin holes, blue tack residue, stains, tears, stickers or sticker residue. The is some light creasing to the photo of Paul to the front, bottom right corner.

THE VINYL: side one is in near excellent condition, side two is in excellent condition, side three is in near excellent condition and side four is in excellent condition. The records are made of the original ‘thick / heavy’ vinyl and have remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix nos. are:   YEX   709 – 1,  YEX  710 - 1, YEX  711 - 1 and  unusually  YEX 712 - 2.

The mother / stampers are: ‘3   T T’,  ‘4  N R’, ‘1  HM’ and ‘3  G A L’.

THE AUDIO: side one and two the audio is very good, it plays with some crackle, the audio would improve with a professional clean. Side three and four, the audio is near excellent. Each record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: label one is in excellent++ condition. Label two is in excellent condition. Label three is in very good condition, it has a small area of ‘whitening’ to it, it also has a hard to find ‘K J T’ tax code around the spindle hole. Label four is in excellent+ condition. As this is a very first issue two of the labels feature the original DARK green Apple colours. All the labels show the text ‘Sold in the UK’ etc, the George and Ringo songs are listed as ‘Apple Publishing’. Each of the labels have the text ‘An EMI Recording’. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
