1973 UK 1st PRESSING DOUBLE LP SET
This outstanding NEAR MINT 1973 1st UK pressing double album is on a custom red Apple labels: PCS 7171 & PCS 7172
The discs are housed within an outer laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold cover with the original 'gold' foil price sticker still attached to the front panel.
This earliest of examples omits the George Martin's producer credit in the lower right corner of the gatefold.
Complete with both its thick red card printed lyric inner-sleeves.

All are immaculate with no wear to any centre hole and just a small handful of faint spindle trails on labels 2 & 4.
Visual: Both MINT
All surfaces are pristine & 100% 'as new' in both strong daylight AND directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. There are not even any wispy paper-type hairlines visible on any surface - all of which lie 100% flat on the turntable.
Play: NEAR MINT
This superb sounding copy has been barely played and has incredible sound quality from start to finish. Most copies of this album were subject to many plays but this has recieved just a few extremely careful plays on high-end equipment and has no traces of audible wear on or between ayn track. Not easy to find another as good as this.
Cover
EXCELLENT
A top-class early example with an undamaged high-gloss finish bearing just a single small 'thumbnail' on the front panel. There is a little shelfwear bruising to the lower corners and the opening edge have a few tiny 'pushes' to them but apart from that, there really is little to fault here. The inside is clean & unblemished and all seams and the fully worded/laminated spine are undressed and unsplit.
Inner-sleeves
EXCELLENT
These early thicker card examples are rich, deep red and are perfectly flat and uncreased. There is a 1.5cm lower seam stress (not split) to one & a small date written in the white top-edge of one but no other faults on either.

- I carefully play every record I sell on an EMT 950 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
