Description
I specialize in lost, atmospheric, and hypnotic 45s. Grading is done conservatively, visually. Check unaltered sound clips. I currently have a number of cool soul, popcorn, Latin, rockabilly, garage, R&B, country, surf, blues, funk, psychedelic, sunshine pop, mod, lounge, exotica, heavy rock, gospel, swamp pop, Tejano, townie rock, song poem, punk, and oddball instrumental 45 obscurities up for grabs. In addition to a small batch of Greek 45s, I've also listed some really fantastic and scarce garage band 45s from Texas this week.
ARTIST: Our Mothers Children
TITLE: I'll Make You Sorry / Down Down
LABEL: Falcon
CONDITION: Strong F (Acetate. Plays okay, no skips. Decent gloss, surface completely intact albeit with pretty typical scuffs and scratches. One of the glued-on paper labels has completely detached, the other is still half-attached.)
Absolutely ferocious Detroit-area garage punk acetate, circa '67. Shadows of Knight cover with the band original "Down Down" on flip. Fuzz, feedback, screamingly intense vocals, and more than a hint of the aggressiveness to come in Michigan rock. A very, very rare recording of this otherwise-unrecorded Ann Arbor group managed by Jeep Holland.
