Description
I have been collecting records for decades and the time has come for some of them to find a new home. Most will be in excellent condition, some have been in my family for years and remain unplayed. I will grade them all fairly and listen to most before listing.
All of them will be professionally cleaned before being sent.

Up for auction here is a Uk first pressing of the 1970 album by Free entitled Fire and Water. Released in the Uk on the Pink Island label catalogue number ILPS 9120.
Matrix / Runout (A Side): ILPS 9120 A#1 16 (B-side,): ILPS 9120 B#1 117
The vinyl is visually in Excellent + condition and looks barely played. There is a small superficial mark on Heavy Load which makes no impact on the audio. The audio is also really good and it plays through without and skips or jumps. There are a couple of ticks at the end of Don’t say you love me and some very light background noise and one or two pops but overall it was a superb listen and I would grade the audio as Excellent.
The Labels are in awesome condition which shows how little this has been played . I would grade them as Excellent +
The Original Robert Stace sleeve is graded as Very Good+ due to some light creasing and signs of wear. There is a little ring wear on the front but the spine is clear and legible.
The record comes with its original inner sleeve but will be sent in a new inner.
Overall a brilliant copy of this absolute classic.

I use Record Collector ratings to grade my vinyl. These are :
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
