Second album from the design organisation “Hapshash And The Coloured Coat”.
I guess they are better known as the creators of numerous posters for happenings and bands of the late 1960s. Soft Machine, Pink Floyd, Crazy World Of Arthur Brown to name but three. I think they were also connected with Carnaby Street clothing. (Granny Takes A Trip).
Screen printing, clothes and recordings, how's that for multi media?
This album is arranged by Mike Batt who also plays on it. It also features Tony T.S McPhee on lead guitar, some very tasty slide playing from him.
The sleeve is in in very good condition. I've been cautious and moved it down from excellent as you can see a ring where the LP has imprinted itself both front and back. The front, with its minstrel caricature, has yellowed over the intervening 42 years. I should point out that the sleeve is printed LBL 83212E mono but the LP is definitively stereo and labelled as such. (Stereo LBS83212) The spine is intact with all the text legible. It is certainly Western Flier not Flyer as stated in a a certain book which many record collectors peruse.
I've recently looked at the CD issue of this album. The Minstrel picture and the reference to John Ivor etc are gone. The sleeve notes indicated that the mainstays of Hapshash had too much fun.
The inner sleeve is plastic lined and looks original. Someone has written LBL 83212 and a few other details on the inner sleeve.
The record itself is in excellent* condition. (164 grams weighed in the inner sleeve) Absolutely gleaming.
You should check out the quality on the attached eCommerce Player. (In fact my request/demand is that you listen before placing any bid.) You would know it was vinyl but I guess that's what you are seeking.
(This album recorded on my Rega 3 turntable using “Audacity”, exported as a 128 kbps MP3 file and uploaded into eCommerce Player. No editing whatsoever and with the lead in and lead outs as they happened.)

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
