Description

An original 1st press of SPACE on UK UA label. Matrix A1/B2. Labels consistent with 1st issue. A very nice heavy press for the vintage. The vinyl comes housed in an original die-cut flip-out gatefold. We also have the original inner sleeve and the LOG BOOK. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In very nice condition and looking much better preserved than most copies tend to. Under close inspection a couple of very light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with a couple of deviations per side. I tend to find this title exceptionally difficult to find well preserved from an audio perspective.. I have loads of original copies. MOST do not play very well at all. But this one seems more up to the job than most. Not perfect by any means - but against the copy that typically surfaces - is very appealing. A relatively clean player for the most part, but not exclusively. "Shouldn't" starts ok with the odd crackle here and there and a couple of isolated ticks and a couple of isolated clicks. To my ears this is better than most other copies I've witnessed - they often surface with constant background. "Master" rolls in with a few crackles, but goes cleaner. Acoustic 'Wrong Step' plays pretty clean with just a couple of isolated clicks early on. Again, not a perfectly clean player....but close enough to really enjoy. And hellishly difficult to find at the Ex level.
Cover (Vg) Again, due to the design super difficult to find looking nice. This one is acceptable without major fault. A bit of surface wear across the front - but not excessive. The die-cut opening is always the hardest to find intact. Mostly ok, but that bottom leading edge is a bit deformed [but still all present]. So, overall pretty decent. The rear looks better with nothing unsightly. The interior is superb - no issues. A touch of light edge wear in places. The text on the spine is fully legible with just lightest wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) A bit aged. Bag present. No splits.
Log Book (Vg+) Much better than you tend to find. Nothing unsightly. Light ageing is almost unavoidable.
