Description

A PORTUGUESE 1st Press. Heavy-set pressing. Matrix A1/B1. Comes housed in a genuine EJDAY printed cover with complicated fastening opening - looks like a UK cover. Were UK covers used in Portugal? Absolutely no idea - possibly!
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In really nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slight marks per side, one superficial trail - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations per side. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with very good clarity. Track 1 could be slightly cleaner.. It's perfectly ok but I would say nearer Vg+...which the occasional crackle. Nothing unpalatable. The rest plays great. A couple of ticks in one isolated spot per side. Hawkwind on top form.
Cover (Ex-) Really nice looking cover. THIS COVER is infamous for problems with the opening. Nearly all examples have a knackered opening. BUT this one is contrary to the norm! Those complicated jagged openings are all in great shape - just slight creasing to one at the bottom. It looks as though the fastening catch has never been used. Which is really unusual. Minimal edge wear - slightest touch top right edge. Sharp firm openings. Spine 99% intact with minimal wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) No splits...slight touch of ageing.
