Description
LED ZEPPELIN - LED ZEPPELIN IV (sometimes referred to as "Zoso")
Gorgeous excellent+ copy of this scarce 1978 UK original UK lilac vinyl pressing of this classic album on Atlantic label K50008
Matrix Numbers :
Side 1 K50008 A2 with stampers "G" and "EG" at 12 and 6 o'clock respectively
Side 2 K50008 B2 with stampers "EG" and "1" at 2 and 2.30 o'clock respectively
The condition of the vinyl is excellent+. I'm so tempted to categorise as "near mint"...beautiful gleaming lilac vinyl with no marks - not even the usual few wispy hairlines or paper scuffs normally seen under a bright light. Obviously played only a few times (or less!) and absolutely beautiful!
Each label is pristine. Simply can't fault at all. Not even the usual one or two faint spindle trails seen under a bright light. Perfect!
The iconic matt finished outer gatefold sleeve is again excellent+. No scuffing on any of the edges, no rubbing on any of the corners which remain perfect right angles, all sides remain stiff and rigid (including the spine), no score marks, no abrasions or scuffs, and no creasing (apart from two barely discernible 1cm surface creases - "crease" is too strong a word - on the front cover adjacent and perpendicular to the spine...you will have to look hard to notice them). The inside of the gatefold is equally gorgeous and impressive...I'm being really picky here - there are a few very, very tiny nicks towards the bottom and top edges and there are three small (each less than 1cm) horizontal creases adjacent to the centre spine, but these are virtually negligible and there is nothing here to detract from the overall excellent+ condition of this wonderful gatefold.
The all important cardboard inner sleeve is excellent+ also with no tears or splits, no scuffing, no wear, just the hint of a little "ring wear" towards the bottom. ..nothing, really.
Finally, the quality of the audio is excellent+...stunning, in fact. Great tone and clarity with no distortion either at higher volume or on the higher frequencies. No clicks or interference, just the occasional and inevitable nano-second of static. Every track is a great listen. Wonderful!
The tracks are :
Side 1 :
1.BLACK DOG
2. ROCK AND ROLL
3. THE BATTLE OF EVERMORE
4. STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN
Side 2 :
1. HEART BREAKER
2. MISTY MOUNTAIN HOP
2. FOURSTICKS
3. GOING BACK TO CALIFORNIA
4. WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS
Comes in original near mint cardboard inner (see above) but I supply a plain white inner, in which the vinyl will be housed for postage and storage purposes, as a matter of course.
In summary, a superb copy of this increasingly rare and sought after original UK lilac pressing timeless rock classic
If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige.
If this record interests you then take a look at my other listings for more 50's, 60's and 70's classic vinyl.
A bit about myself : I have been collecting vinyl for more than 48 years and have amassed a huge collection covering a varied genre, but mostly of 1960's and 70's origin. Most of my records were originally bought by myself for my own collection, but over the years I have embellished my collection by buying records from a variety of sources : friends/acquaintances, car boots, auctions, and even through putting up a "vinyl wanted" notice in my wife's shop! I never intended selling any of my records but now I am retired and a combination of space requirements (caused partly by duplication) and a need to help fund my retirement has prompted me to "rationalise" my record collection and sell many of my much loved gems.
My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I'll sort out the problem. I offer a "no quibble" refund policy.
On the subject of postage, I take great care in the packaging of all items, using a proper vinyl cardboard mailer along with at least two cardboard stiffeners. I take great care in removing the record from the outer sleeve in order to prevent sleeve damage in transit and I always insert the vinyl, outer sleeve and inner into a clear plastic sleeve, thus adding further protection.
For this item postage & packaging will be Royal Mail 1st class : UK £4.00, continental Europe £7, and Rest of the World £11.
NOTE that for items selling for more than £40 to non-UK bidders I insist upon international tracking and signed, which will add a further £2-£5 (dependent upon location) to P&P costs, so please do not pay until I have invoiced you. If in doubt then email me beforehand for a P&P cost for your country.
I do discount post & packaging costs for multiple purchases. I do NOT profit from postage.
Good luck with your bidding! Richard
